Hullo,
Here's the rundown:
I've got a model that's a Wip. I have another scene where I have all the lighting set up, and the model is merged into that scene. So I have the model in the scene where it's being worked on, and in another scene where it's beauty shots will be taken.
As I update the model, I keep re-merging it into the rendering scene, so that I can check how it looks when rendered with the proper lighting etc. But I have to keep re-positioning and re-sizing the model every time I merge it into that scene.
Is there a way to make it automatically be put the same way as its older version in the scene when it's merged in?
Or is this nothing short of hoping for a miracle?
Thanks for any suggestions!

The thing is, I've got two cameras in the rendering scene that are at the exact angle I want them. Plus the render scene has Light Tracer enabled, so I would have to keep turning that on and off.
Other apps surely have something similar...
Or what about using render presets?
How does XRef work (in this instance), and render presets?
Do you mean Xref object or XRef scene?
