I've never been much of a drawer, so we'll see how things work out just modelling along.
I'm going to make a large, slightly noveltyish looking medical scalpel, a needlegun that'll take parts from real guns, and possibly an electric bonesaw >_____<
FIRST POST FOR UPDATES!

Two melee weapons? The rules state that you have to have all three items take up a different slot, no two melee's or two hats or anything like that.
Oh I missed that, hmmmm decisions decisions!
I'm going for a dangerous beefy look, with a large canister of an unknown substance clamped on by uh... clamps. (Trying to remember the actual type of clamp so I can googleimage for references)
I also remodeled the handle and where the other hand goes because those are important if this is a model-like reskin to use with existing animations.
I thought you might need a heads up on that, all the 3 items have to follow the same theme. The theme have to be related to the character's background and personality.
An example would be this guy's entry: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73098
I just wanted to let you know before you continue on your models any further, it would be an awful shame to see you contribute a bunch of fine modeled items get ignored simply because you accidentaly overlooked a contest rule.

Don't worry, they shall be themed as well as I can anyway... >_>
I'm leaning towards, "Surgical objects", but I'm not entirely sure on a theme, my other item in works in a really nice large scalpel, it doesn't really fit with this needlegun does it...
That said, something like calling it the Inoculator doesn't really work then.
I'll have to think of something like the needles are filled with some sort of sleeping agent now.
*headdesks*
Okay, after a nice good headdesking, I'm still on the track for surgical stuff, I'm going to make a bandaged headwrap, to go with the surgical theme.
Scalpel is still surgery-like, and I do like scalpels, alternatively, a pizza cutter-like weapon, gives the impression of a brain surgeon in the hands of the Medic.
Needlegun is the only one that's not so close to the theme like the others... And I'd really like a new needlegun, but I can't think of how to fix this little predicament I've gotten myself in.
1, 2, 3 respectively, or other~ :P
Number 3 is AWESOME
There r so many Medic hats, that not really fit to his Job, but this looks quiet awesome. ^^
Shows how much of a real doctor the medic is.
Picked 3, changed which way overlapped which to make it look better from other angles.
Will be making the clip that keeps the bandages together, and will be located on the back.
Regardless, that is a very suitable hat for the medic.
Yup, the loose bit'll be flapping in the wind!
bot what i think is something "heavy medic freindship "related.
even if it sparks up another war update.
i dunno why but it reminds me of the hapless doctor in quite a few zombie movies
plus the medic looks like stephen from dawn of the dead/ Herbet west from Re-animator
Sorry if it wasn't what you intended but it's certainly what i thought of on the initial outlook heh.
kinda like this (though with less exposed breasts! Best image i could find without spending ages searching) - http://www.flickr.com/photos/slinkysparkles/3427026990/
edit:
It looks slightly out of place since I modelled the bandage slightly away from his eye for facial animations.
I'm not opposed to Psyke's zombie inspiration either
I like it a lot.^^
But i think Y_M and me would love it more if one eye is covered or not visible.^^
If the patch is not working with the expressions, is it possible to wrap the bandage more over the eye?
Yup, I can move the wrap lower.
Great work here anyway, keep it up
Yup, that be I.
I also made the Killer's Kabuto
Was working on the plunger on the back of the needlegun, It's a vintage syringe, There was one Valve already made but it's design didn't really suit, so I remade my own whilst taking Valve's original handle into consideration.
Squared bottom, curved top for it.
It's a view model, I can afford to make something you'll see constantly, high poly :P
8000 tri limit.
And I'm only 2000 in total so far
That sounds like an excellent idea, I'll give it a try!
Been working on the scalpel, It looks kinda plain, scalpels aren't the kind of thing that comes in so many flavours :P
There's a loop going down the middle, I'll be taking that out since it's unneeded :P
Oversised as well, it's about the length of the ubersaw.
I was thinking I should make the other end a pen, but... Then it'd be stabbing his hand :P
Optimized a bit and made the top little clamp smaller.
Comparison size pic of the scalpel and ubersaw.
I guess I could move all the top polygons on the handle to the back or front... But no big fuss right?
Also doesn't have a very impressive silhouette : \
Everyone seems to go with just gun metal, maybe you could change it up somehow. An extra big needle/bayonet hybrid strapped on the underside?
Yeah, I was thinking of making it a handle sorta thing, like an upside down old fashioned iron kinda thing, but I shall decide that after I fix the top.
Came in expecting good content, was not disappointed.
Good work, I love it, especially the bandages, they are so brilliantly simple.
