qft.
Also your upper and lower receiver should form more of a V shape from the side silhouette.
close up rear
The gas block tapers. Its about 2/3 the width on the bottom @ the barrel and once it raises to drive the piston rod its hangs further back. It pinches together and has a small cylindrical shape in between the barrel and the piston chamber as well.
The front of the barrel choke before the muzzle break tapers into the muzzle break instead of stopping flat its a subtle taper but still noticeable.
I would make the seam a little more apparent between the wood covers and the back flat of the gas block.
The wood should taper slightly from front to back over the top view, its hard to see from your angle, and it might, but mentioning it just in case.
The woods lip is maybe 25-20% to far down past the lower receiver and it also needs to lip and cover the bottom of the receiver by about 2-4cm depending on how much you want to exaggerate, but its there in both versions of forward grip.
lip I'm talking about.

Some people have posted links to this photo album before.
Over all its not bad, it just needs a lot of little work to be more accurate. People seemed to have stopped commenting most likely because you seemingly ignored the first real crit someone gave you about the lower receiver not being tall enough and the grip being dinky.
Both are valid to an extent. The lower receiver is too short in the rear because it doesn't taper, and its hard to see that without a flat on boring side view of the weapon. The grip, yeah it looks a little small. Hence "qft" at the beginning of my wall of text.
I'm not trying to be a dick, and sorry if I sound that way, just the fact that even a few people commented you should be happy about, doesn't always happen. And for the most part the guys on here really seem to know their firearms, and real criticism should be headed, unless you can refute it with real to life reference and point out why its the way it should be. Even then it may just be because it would look better from a 3d standpoint.
Keep up the good work and it'll be a great gun if you take the time and really pimp it out.
Joel: here is the link AK Tutorial
Enjoy!
and that may actually not be a gas block, not too familiar with the 74, but its the most likely place for it and follows the same style, just a bit short :poly136:
sorry dont know why i cant post the image itself

It looks great, but don't sweat the small stuff.
Like I said it looks fine as is, but it could log amazing with some extra effort. .
Rock: We are always at the learning stage, even pros like Kevin_J, Pior and Lonewolf always find a better way to do something. Maybe not as often as people like us still working at developing/honing skills, but I'm sure they'd agree that you can always learn something new.
That being said, you're also missing a bump from the inner left (from a firing position) of the buttstock that pushes forward towards the gun body.
(I also edited the image in my last post to point out things I was talking about.
