I am really looking forward to this game. But this trailer really dident spike my interest. sorta lame i thought. Like ive seen it before. Like that GOW trailer back in 2006.
Good graphics though. I LOL at 1:19. that was a bizzar splatter.
Ha! Kind of strange that he just stands there looking at the paper until everyone is dead. Good to know he's got their back I guess.
I found that weird, as the Blackhawks flew over him and were flying for a while before they got shot down. I guess they wanted the dramatic camera angle, but it made it look like the crash was just behind him and he just didn't care.
Anyway, the rest of it was pretty impressive, and I greatly enjoyed the original. Bring on holiday 2010!
I wonder how there going to make them jump from the ending of 1 with them heading back towards the island they had all of Crysis 1 take place on to going to NY after aliens invaded.
The Black Ops guys may be adversaries. Apparently our character has something they want back. But Crytek is not saying what that is.
So that means you're neither with the aliens or the soldiers, which makes sense..it would be weird if you're still fighting Korean soldiers in New York
Yeah, was Mr. TightAss looking at a Help Wanted ad while all those guys are shoot down?
He should have just checked Craigslist, from home
I'm interested in this game, even after playing the first, plus the addon. I want it to be good.
The teaser is kind of cool. From what I've seen in screenshots so far, there are human troops firing at our exosuit character. So maybe him standing around whilst the choppers got ambushed was a nod to that.
i was highly unimpressed with crysis when it ran perfectly up until the ice bits halfway through, when it gound to a halt and I had to reduce all my settings. That's pretty poor performance management in my book
I'll get the game because of the editor included.
The teaser it self doesn't convince me. Looks spectacular and all, but at the moment I still don't expect anything that hasn't been there a few times before (gameplay wise).
To me the teaser speaks: Grab some guns, fight some aliens, safe the world. wheee
Interesting part will be the functionality of the nanosuit. They'll probably come up with some new features to adapt to the new environment the game is taking place in.

Or your on your own vs both... lets see where have I played that before.
Super powered suit.
Military guys trying to clean up an alien invasion, and anyone that knows about it.
Aliens attacking anything human.
Hero caught in the middle who does what armies on both sides can't do, cleans up the mess.
I can think of 30-40 games I've played that fit that bill.
That trailer was total cheese. "My aura of awesomeness protects me like a force-field during all cut scenes". However you'll get a splinter and die a thousand deaths trying to move down an alley way.
It looks pretty... if you like monochromatic games.
The game play looks great.
the marine face r horrible
engine gfx r beautiful
gameplay looks invested - but ive had enuf of seeing games that put u in control of an uber-powerful world-saving killing machine and take themselves seriously. its the kind of games ppl who got beat up in school make. the second game that is shown afterwards looks much more exciting with all those arcade moves

my point was not the suit but the realistic (hence, serious) gameplay. it just doesn't sell anything beyond the obvious. the other game (vanquish) looks really cool, look at those slide moves and speed of the gameplay, its totally arcade and fun. if u'r gonna run thru infinite armies and blow-em all up, at least do it with style.
Looks shiny and fun, I didn't think I'd pick this one up because I didn't take to the first (or the expansion) so much, but this looks like a massive improvement.
Also the first red faction is a pretty amazing game.
The gameplay looks great.... I like the fact that it isnt that much of an arcade game like vanquish semi open world like in crysis one sounds good to me as well wont suffer those wtf am I supposed to do now moments
(also... isnt vanquish 3rd person? looks like it is better compared to lost planet 1 / 2 than a fps like crysis)
anyhow, crysis 2 better be more like crysis 1 and not like warhead. i liked the areas of no fighting where you could stalk your prey, adn really plan out your attack.
I hope there's accurate hitboxes this time around. I didn't like the first game's gunplay all that much, as headshots on regular grunts seemed nerfed beyond reason.
From what I saw in the sparse footage of that gametrailers vid, the graphics look spectacular, again :P
And the stupidest choice of trailer music award goes to...
Agreed. I don't know why some companies feel the need to put wanna-be emotional music in game trailers these days. It's stupid. It was OK the first time with gears, but after that it just got dumb (that includes gears 2, and gears 3 trailers, making it overused).
I wasn't a fan of the first one. Advertised as killing aliens , and kicking ass, but you kill Koreans for over half the game, and once the aliens finally arrive, they're next impossible to hit, and take way too many shots to kill. Nice graphics, pretty terrible game.
Emotional scene? That reveal trailer in the OP went from cliche to cliche. "Edgy" downbeat indie soundtrack to violence, nervous soldier gets killed (shocker), and they even finished with everyone's favorite, "tough guys don't look at explosions". I'm with Shotgun on this. It's very very pretty, and it might be fun this time, but for something that has airs of taking itself so seriously it really lacks personality.

If not, meh. More of the same Crysis for us!

You diss Crysis 2 for having a super powerful suit, then you go and praise a game that goes along with everything you just talked down Crysis for.
I am thoroughly confused.
Additionally, every military in the world is investing millions into the development of such a suit. Hardly ' not serious ' for a game concept.
