I found this talk charming and insightful. I know a lot of people out there are diehard pessimists and "realists," but her thoughts on how multiplayer games actually train gamers to come together and cooperate in ways you don't see often in the real world seem valid to me. Of course, the most popular games also incite hatred and brutal competition; the optimistic side focusing on cooperation and "epic win" interest, however, is of clear value (and she gives examples).

Its also pretty interesting, Seems like video games are going to over run our lives. I showed my Cognitive psych teacher and we are going to watch the video in class. So score one for the slacker in class!
That is one awesome lady. Does anyone else find it refreshing to hear how all the billions of hours spent playing video games can actaully be a good--nay, GREAT--thing, rather than a complete waste of time?
Amazing idea. I hope her ideas and games take real root in the upcoming generation. If our kids grow up on games like the ones she's trying to make popular, imagine all the good the next generation could do for this planet. Cause let me tell ya, humans are fucking things up way too much. We gotta step back in the other direction for a change.
(Epic win!!!!)
Something where if you give someone a hug, complement someone, help someone in need, give blood, or other things like that you get points in the game.
Or something for schools, the better your grades are the more points you get. Those points would go towards days off, no homework, or free stuff.
Those are some great suggestions Thegodzero. I hope more people see this.
