I've been looking around and don't see anything that relates with Max 2010 -- just old threads. So, I'm hoping this has changed, and it's just hard to find where to change the MMB navigation controls in Max 2010.
If I accidentally rotate another orthographic camera, I may lose it.
(Is there a way to lock rotation on those?)
And while we're at it, how do you increase the camera draw distance? I'm building in Unreal scale, so my scene is getting clipped. "Viewport Clipping" doesn't seem to be it.
Thanks from a Maya user who's really enjoying Max for modeling. Set Flow! Flow Connect!
(Oh, and I'm aware of Digital Raster's Switcher, but as recent grad, I'm trying to save the $$.)

So you're saying you can change the mouse (not the pen) buttons in the Wacom panel? How?
I know how to change the pen controls for a particular program, of course, but how do you change the mouse controls?
Any thoughts on the viewport draw distance?
If not this, maybe it's time I just change my settings in Maya and get used to these. But then, I really don't like using the MMB so much (as you have to with Max). Would much prefer hitting the LMB or RMB.
I also use UDK, so that's yet another navigation system. Plus, I want to get into Unity, which has the same nav as Maya.
So then again, there's the $50 Switcher ...

I feel like I should go read about muscle memory and how to maximize it. Maybe eating carrots helps ...
Edit: ctrl-alt mmb-drag, in fact.
That doesn't exactly help you with your phobia of the mmb (I love it! Hate it when software ignores it), but maybe you prefer this over scrolling?
