Target would be for an open world third person type game. Real early progress shots.
I'm going for a real world look, with some wear n' tear in the textures.
I'll also be creating street props and a vehicle, maybe a vespa for the scene.
Scene block in. Added trees, chimney smoke, ground fog. streets, street posts, and I updated the business building wooden doorway. I'm also recovering from Pneumonia so I'm beginning to feel better. Work was slowed down due to that, so once I'm fully recovered in a week I should be able to crank stuff out a lot faster.
Oh...thanks man. It's not really there yet but to answer your Q; at one point, the pub was painted yellow. That's when I took a photo of the wall texture.
Still progressing, made some scale adjustments and form changes. Minor stuff, but it was needed. I'm going to do another pass on the hands and then retopo it in Zbrush 4R6!
Polycount just dumped my post, I will try to recreate it.
I don't know who this Barlowe chap is, but this character is dressed to the nines. The profile and back shots are utterly menacing, but the face is less so. Overall a very judicial feel to him.
@StevenTB, hey thanks for the comment man. Sorry PC dumped your post. Feel free to drop me a link so I can check out what you're working on.
Google Wayne Barlowe and check out his artwork. He's frigging ridiculous next level brov. Here's a quick glance at the artwork behind Barlowes Inferno: http://waynebarlowe.wordpress.com/artwork/hell/
The sculpt is a Demon General. Going for a regal look so if you're getting a judicial vibe then that's great! As for a more sinister/menacing face. I'll see what I can do in that department.
Another random thought I had was to create a demon imp creature that would be resting on his shoulder (that is entirely not something seen in Barlowes Inferno from what I've seen) however I'll take some artistic license to concept this out.
Here's an update on my Demon General. Refined the cloth a bit
inspired by Wayne Barlowe's 'Barlowes Inferno.' Still plenty of polish left to do... I'd like to work on a sword or knife along with a sleeve for the weapons' hilt to fit.
Inspired by the amazing Kaiju designs from Pacific Rim. I designed my own Kaiju based off of frog anatomy and a bit of a Rancor (from Star Wars). Early WIP.

Added details to the chest armour and an early block-in pass on the leather shoulder parts.
