yeah if oprah reeaally wanted to help she could you know give away 90% of her cash and still be filthy disgustingly rich. i give to local charitys and such when i can aford it.

Oprah giving away all of her money (and consequently most of her ability to MAKE money, longterm reducing the amount she can donate) would achieve nothing.

Donating money like this achieves nothing measurable, but at least gives encouragement and motivation to the hard workers and creative who may someday invent a way to make money actually solve the problems of poverty.
