Hey Guys,
I wasn't sure where to post a tutorial at. I remember seeing a Tutorials thread buy i couldn't find it.
Anyways I just finished this tutorial Series. It's 7 Parts long and goes over step by step on how i created my MMO Style Ice Effect. I realized during Post Production that I really didn't explain things that would have been explained in a Beginners Tutorial, so If yo don't know anything i suggest checking out 3DBuzz's stuff.
Here's the Intro for a preview

I'm just curious if anyone has tried doing this yet... It's my first serious tutorial and was actually looking for some comments as to what i can improve.
Thanks
might wanna remember what part you are working on though. haha! the first 3 parts you said "ok, ill see you in part 3" at the end of part 3. haha! good laugh. but no, the tutorial itself was goood! I had to play through a few parts a couple times though cause it went really fast. mainly the setting up the ice material.
question though. say i wanted to make the ice pop out in a circle. but not all over the place. say i wanted to do it in an o shape? nothing in the middle. is that possible?
also, if thats possible. is it possible to make them all point outwards? in a perfect circle?
That's a good question, i know you could be able to make them appear in an O shape by using a Cylinder node and checking "Spawn on surface".. that would make sure that they spawned in the O shape you were looking for, you could just adjust the radius of the cylinder untill it was the way you wanted it. As for each of them pointing outwards, that's a different story... as of now i don't think there is any way to do that, but i'll tinker around with it and let you know.
It's just fantastic when people do things like this. Will come in handy for alot of people.
I'll let you know when I have time to play around with this
^^ thank you.
any news?

I've been searching high and low for this tutorial, and there's not a single link working anymore. Was just wondering if anyone still has a copy that they could share? Many thanks in advance!
if you could host it that would be really cool. I've been looking for this tutorial for a while.
Mucho thanks in advance!
If it pleases the court i may just remake it for you guys in High Def and host it on youtube, and possibly make it a bit cleaner and quicker.
Until then, the old vids will have to do.
I have been looking for this one for a while :O man that would be awesome!
The court would be very pleased to see more material from such a distinguished person such as yourself.
Very big thanks to Ark for reuploading this gem, and a belated thank you very much to Virtuosic for doing this tutorial! :):):):)
i know a few people that would love for you to do this, myself included
Can I ask a reupload by somebody here ?
