3DS Max- starting tips please!
hi all,
after working in Maya for the last 18 months I am planning to do my next couple of folio peices in Max so I can get its tools under my belt. I've not used it at all as of yet- I've got some tutorials to look through and a couple of hotkey lists, but I was after some useful tips on tricks to try and "gotchas" to avoid- what's likely to trip me up!
Anything is good, however trivial it may seem! I'm putting to final touches to my last maya piece right now, so will be Maxing in a bout a week- any help gratefully recieved!

its the best place to look for scripts for 3dsmax to boost, simplify your workflow or simply to do things that are not available in max to begin with.
The official help within max comes with a good bunch of tutorials for the bloody beginners. In other cases its also a nice read on details.
There are lots of tutorials out there for 3dsmax but I would suggest as well to look at first at the Polycount sticky threads for the quality material.
