Yes!! another week full of coffee ! i hope i will make it the funny part is that im learning UDK i have two days full hours of studying it i have discovered a series of videos showing the capability of unreal engine im almost done with the tutorials , the size of the tutorials are 3.8 gigabites is like watching a movie all day but im good in that taking all information like a robot if i wont make it or something happends i will use torque but im going for the UDK thanks ! i will pray to god that i can make it.
all my images here will be 640 pixel by something for better result images always save it to your desktop and open with quick time viewer or windows viewer
Thanks god im a freelance so i have time for this , so i realize if i unwrap the hole thing it will consume enormous space of texture , so i figure to slice and make blocks so i can unwrap each of those and then at last unify all the block in one single unwrap is just like making characters that i love to do i think i will use a size of 1024 texture size for this , in the holes will be glass with some color if i can and well i will continue doing all this day nigth and day , and i forget to say i will use my nvidia normal plugin that i love , and combining different versions of normal maps to get real nice texture in UDK see you soon
Unwraped by both sides . So i will continue modeling and unwrapping the hole thing first then i will create different normal maps and diffuse maps etc. I forgot to mention ... when i finish the cut box boolean i have made with the edges selected a shape from edges create a spline convert it to edit poly and do another cut for the edges of the floor because i dont want a simple bouring box.
Im making progress i like to say that i prefer this work , becuase i love science fiction since i was kid and i will use UDK that is perfect for this proyect , i have used greeble and i discover one thing that could work great i will later show you , im using ambient oclussion and render this images in 3d max scanline , for the progress and for design the space well few days left im little worried , and i never win a contest before so i must keep trying. (I dont know why the image looks bluring here it seem that it resizes so please save it to your desktop and open it it looks 50% better thanks)
I dont know what you think guys im almost 200.000 tris with the scene like this i have left only 50.000 is a shame that i cant put things i want in a science fiction scene took lot of polys in my scene so i have left to do the door and finish the thing like a machine and meaby i can do a duplicate of the machine i want that , and im thnking if really use UDK because i know better torque it will give me less time but the normal maps in UDK can be more stronger , with the material editor as you know see ya tomorrow!
With this images as it is have 143.223 tris i will use it all the 250.000 i think well its getting alive dont you think? Today i have to finish all modeling and i will have 3 days for texture and 2 days for the engine i will make it!!!!!
Some one has and idea how to put here and image and it will be not rezied it screw up all the image rezising it it look 50% more better with the original image render here in my computer how the people can appreciatte this if the image is screw up? some one knows how im using imageshack but when i put it here blows away , so if no one knows please SAVE YOUR IMAGE IN TO YOUR DESKTOP AND SEE THE REAL IMAGE PLEASE
You definitely have some interesting objects and hard surfaces here, but why is everything clustered to the right? Where's your focal point going to be? Keep it up I love the geometry!
Thanks i love that you like my work ,the good thing is that i havent use zbrush just pure 3d max modeling im not saying that zbrush is bad , i have in mynd to put all at the left at the end using photoshop i think that can be done is the same image but all at the left that trick all matte paintings do i really like that you love my geometry very very thanks for your comment.
I have finished the modeling for now i will start texturing tomorrow i have the days counted it is so many geometry that i will need days to do all my plan isto finish in 5 days.
here is a preview from 3d max viewer , i have made the texture combining diferent textures , touching the colors for the wanted image i have in my mynd , i dont want to push too high the normals because it wont be necesary this are the panels behind the barrier.
I cant resist doing a simple render with ambient occlusion , normal maps and diffuse map no specular yet , i have baked some textures of this scene not all to give a plus + into my UDK to give extra ambient oclussion that i love ,render it in scanline render.
And another render from a different point of view , and i write with my right hand but dont mean that all my work i do is in right perspective ...jeje...not at all!
rendered with a simple skylight i have not touched the settings in the light...by the way i recommend as i told before to save the image you want to see in your desktop and open it with quick time viewer ,if you dont have it well just windows viewer that i dont recommend.
Some update for this morning and...its getting real! i love the colors going everywhere in different shapes and not only using one color i want to have all colours possible without missing up the scene i like the way is coming out
Sorry i cant resist doing a render here in 3d max and upload here ,it has no specular at all but that i will use it later , this has only normal and diffuse with skylight
Here is a link of 1024 by 640 open it and save it to your desktop for look well the image as it is , the force of normal i decide that in UDK and if i can make it in torque because i cant stop loving torque and i know that i can make a real good scene with torque that i recomend to everyone.
This image i dont know if you see it bluring i dont know if this site resize all pictures or its my internet configuration can someone tell me if you are seeing the picture well?

Some update tomorrow i will finish texturing and i will put the scene i torque and UDK , this is render in max scanline. When i will finish the texture i will show you the detail with some renders in max and screen takes before i put it to the engine.
HI i figure out that if you use firefox the images that i post look very well at the size needed.
Please one important question im participating form bogota colombia south america so eastern time will be how much easter time is usa or europe?

Time is ticking man. Get this in engine. Quit rendering out in Max, you're wasting time. Also, I'm still having a hard time reading shapes and forms. I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at. What is the scene supposed to be?

IM starting with the gate and i will put first all the modeling in 3d max and then texturing meaby in zbrush , or bodypaint and then put into UDK

Good that tank like was tuff because the unwra the hole thing and texting textures etc its looking good.
Again i cant stop rendering in 3d max to have an idea of the normal maps.

this is only diffuse i am woking in 3d max 9 only 3d max 2010 has the feature to sho realtime viewport
