This model was created for the Section 8 Demo. The model is 9604 tris and using a 1024 and 256 sized texture maps. Software used are 3DS Max and Photoshop rendered with V-Ray. I've just gotten around to making some presentations. I hope you like it.
Why such a high tri count and low rez texture? and by 4x do you mean normal, spec ,diffuse, emissions? I wouldn't list it like that, just a 1024 and 256.
I remember seeing that version (although with different colors). My only critique (and maybe it's just me) is that with the color palette being so diverse, it doesn't seem like a uniform anymore. And with it being a sci-fi design, I don't think it really helps make this character stand out as a soldier.
I saw some S8 weapons on your site, so maybe it would help if you had him holding one of those. Making things so that people would actually be able to recognize them was a major challenge for doing the environment art for S8 too, so I don't blame you
Dan K - That's a great idea I might just go back and do another render with the gun. I was trying to think of ways to reduce the amount of images on my portfolio. Thanks for the idea Dan K!
slipsius - Thanks dude, I'm glad you think its badass.
yep that Bumblebee. I too thought he was awesome, but some of the childish stuff he did was sort of annoying, but thats a discussion for another time and thread

Dippndots - Do you mean bumblebee from transformers? He was the best!
Great model over all though :]
Dippndots - Hahaha yes, very true.
whats_true - Thanks, Do you mean the high poly render looks like hes floating? I should add a shadow.
