Polycount Top Page suggestion?

Hey I dunno if this was brought up

But I really think it would be cool if when a member has there image on the top page of polycount as a headline,

As well as write there name and such of who made it, maybe have a link when you click on the banner to that thread specific or maybe a special section of the screenshots of the image?

Just wanted to voice a idea, roll with it if you like

Yeah I wish it brought up the full image when you clicked on it.

Thanks for the suggestion, Remi. I can't exactly remember if that was something we were looking at implementing in the near future. But it's a great suggestion all the same.

ya, theres been a few suggestions about that. either bringin up the full picture, or going to the thread that had the WIP of it all.

but, with the new polycount page coming in the near future, i doubt we`ll see any improvement to this page.

Hince why I said in the beginning if this has been brought up I was sorry, just a new image poped up today and I couldnt find the damn link to it , so I figured to be another number in the line and annoy you about it adam!

I found this thread by searching terms like ~manny / star wars / banner which all came back with zero results. Only polycount banner brought me here. I even searched by member for ~manny, manny etc and only found manny_c who doesnt seem like the person who did that awesome star wars image i often see. It would be great to see more from this member and ask about their methods but there seems to be no way which should be resolved.

Also is the new site still coming? seems to be a while now

I find it hard to believe bosses in this industry would care about swearing. Most of the bosses i'm worked for have no issues with it, isn't this a fairly liberal industry? at least it should be.

Not everyone that visits this site is in the 'industry'.


And yeah, scrolling down quickly is how I handle it right now
It's not a big deal, just a simple request to have more banners :P I'd say the 'satan' banner pops up 3 out of 5 times for me though, which isn't as 'random' as I'd like to see. I know a computer's version of random is really not that random though Especially if this site uses the system clock as a 'random' cheat.

I love it! Thanks for the link.. i definitely wanna find out more about him too... really arty style, dark... appeals to me very much. Would like to see a Don Quixote type animation with this character in it...
