ok so i just started to try and normal map the bullet with xnormal, and i also tried it the way described in racer445's tutorial the method where you render to texture in max. I keep getting the bakes wrong though ill upload the meshes im using in the bake to texture .obj and post pictures if any one could shed some light id appreciate it, im still new to normal mapping
you might need more subdivisions around so that it doesnt get wavy, play with the cage and the distance of the cage from the meshes with the wavy area. or you can always touch it up in photoshop http://poopinmymouth.com/tutorial/normal_workflow_3.htm

Im not sure what racer does, but whenever I try to bake normals in max I get those wavey lines. Xnormal doesn't give me the wavy lines like that.
