Hi all,
Great to see all the work that has been posted already, I'm hoping to enter this year but work commitments might get in the way, hopefully not.
So I have been thinking about it for a few days now and I have created a quick primitive and chucked together a reference board of some inspiration. The idea is going to be kinda based on hell/heaven I plan on trying to have half the scene in hell like seen in constantine and the other half untouched (in other words an everyday city.) The longer term plan would be to make this into a map with the buildings progressively getting 'Destroyed/Infected' by hell but for this comp/images I'll just be making it half and half (well hopefully anyway.)
Couple of images to start...
Look forward to seeing what everyone creates...
Cheers
Chris
Oh forgot to say i'll just be me working on this one. No I in team, but there is in this case. lol

I know this is just a WIP shot and probably way too early to be making comments on but you might want to make the palm branch planes wider so your trees appear to be more full. Especially if you plan to take this scene into Unreal, those tree tops are liable to disappear even at close distances.
Good luck.
looking forward to this
It's looking good, like the direction this is taking. Looks like it's going to be populated quite a bit.
Ben Apuna : Thanks for the comments, yeah the palmtrees do need serious shape work, along with most of the assets in the primitive, but thanks very much for the comments I'll keep them in mind.
glynnsmith : Cheers mate, soz I've not been chatting/posting much things have been very busy (wedding, honeymoon, work, etc.) Thanks for the support as usual.
oalexis : Not sure at the mo, I have used unreal a bit before, but I might look into crysis for a change.
oreokooky : LOL, thanks mate. Hopefully I'll get enough time to do something for this.
Target_Renegade / divi : Thanks very much.
G3L : Thanks lol, I might just steal that. he he. Yeah, it will need to be quite populated and most assets will need two versions, really worried about the amount of work, but if I dont finish in time, I'll hopefully continue it after the comp.
Thanks for all the support, now hopefully I will be able to give you something better to look at soon.
