Hey, we're all here now. Awesome.
Our project is codenamed escape from colony, until a final title is chosen. The basic story is that of a moon base in its final days. A distant black hole is slowly sucking the last remnants of the moon into oblivion. The primary means of escape is all but useless, and survivors attempt to flee in any way they can. I'm pretty sure escape pods would be pretty futile against a black hole destroying your home, but who knows.

As for the blockout, I think we need to tweak the scale of everything. It all seems a little closed in. Which actually might be kind of cool, because it really brings the shitstorm to the viewer. That makes me think the foreground elements should be more affected, like things getting torn apart. Then again, I like the first composition where the end of the launch track feels farther away, and there are more foreground elements. Perhaps we could incorporate some of those mining dome thingies into the foreground to frame it better.
Style wise, we're looking to go with clean lines for the tech and buildings.
