Looking good so far! I especially like the contrast in style between the invading force and the village! Also, how you liking Alchemy? Haven't really played with it much but it looks interesting!
Definitely have some cool shapes going on there man, I like the ones that look like they have rear helicopter blades whirring in a circle(if that makes any sense). Keep it up!
That's a good find. Nice program. Thanks for the tip. The silhouttes look really nice. Do you guys use any particular shape in Alchemy? I see the use of opacity and it works well.
Love that cloud, has a really cool 3d feel to it, would be nice to see a cast shadow from it. You could also have a ship or two fly through it and have a cool vapor trail effect, just a thought...
Teriyaki, we are going to steal Jordan from your team and make him do all of our shaders! Muwhahaha!
J/K, this is going to be sweet. I hope you keep it colorful like the color study. The silhouette's are really cool, I will be watching this one
This is really starting to look great, every time you post one of these images my terror increases slightly hahaha. It'll be a fun challenge, lots of different styles and technical challenges. Speaking of which I'd better get cracking...
Finally got some time to start working in engine. The initial work I'm doing is just testing out different shader/environmental effects as well as composition, scale and lighting.
Nothing too interesting yet, I think we will go with a faked depth for the pools rather then actually modeling them out. It saves a few polys and lets me play around with some of the more exotic unreal shader toys.
The background terrain I'll model in maya and see what trickery can be done with it texture wise.
Looks good so far! But I do think for such an upclose shot you could afford to add a few more polys on the eldge and maybe just that part have a higher rez texture! But god damn, those clouds are hypnotizing. Super interested to see where you're taking this.
TeriyakiStyle I think the ponds in your latest pic are a bit too uniform in shape, I like the shape of ponds in the pic Sardonicharmonic posted earlier. Perhaps you can breakup the new pond model into modular bits to get a less uniform looking layout.

More to come ASAP.
Reminds me of Pamukkale.
