Been meaning to start something like this for a while. More importantly, I've been meaning to do a lot more personal work lately and hopefully this will provide motivation to do just that.
I rarely dabble into 2d, but expect more sketch sculpting and character wip's
To get it started, here are a few shots of previous doodles and pic of my current work in progress, Scarecrow.

On the jigsaw i think his bottom lip looks a little strange. It looks like its been pushed down; but i get the feeling it should be rotten away/ripped off because of its position.
Cap is pretty much untouched, will get a lot more love-

I love the material, too. Which one is it?
Gav
Inspirational, dude!
Keep going
really like the proportions you have in the latest character the face sculpt has heaps of charm to it too. just not a huge fan of the blue matcap
Emil: You know you're the champ.
A: Cheers!
afaria: Thanks!
mat: Thanks man, maybe I'll present it with something different next time..
Little more work on this guy - still got lots to do, specifically the jacket, hands, buckles and need to make a parachute.
Thanks for lookin!
Gav
-reminds of those toy parachuters you used to get in the 80's. the kind you throw in the air as high as you can and then they float back down and... well that's it really... i'm old:poly141:
Little update..still going slow on this as it's my '2nd' personal piece..just a few minutes a day, hehe.
(Edit > Probably going to redo the hip area and, obviously, the leg planes are just temp...)
Was asked by the powers that be to do a new render for my bishop character, this was an early version...I'll maybe post the other (EVEN LARGER) version later...but right now I am DEFINITELY done with this character..again..argh.
Also, pretty much finished this guy's sculpt, onto the low poly version soon
Gav
(sorry, that was bad. I'll leave now:poly134:)
scarecrow is lookin' so sick.
Been a while since I've had anything on the go, been really busy lately with other things!
Been working on Jouste's Lunq the Planet Peeler - still got a little ways to go yet, but I'm planning on taking him to 'game' resolution. Going to try and finalize my pilot guy as well..not sure why production on that stopped. My bad.
-Aloha! from Oahu
InProgress: Nah, not entirely in ZB - I built the basic shapes in Max.
STEVE: Thanks dude, you surfin now?
Took a little break from jouste's character. I'm currently in the process of dealing with some paperwork for a new job, in the meantime - I'm working on some smaller projects to keep me busy.
Thanks for looking,
Gav
Is there anyway yo can email me your autograph, your like a rock star when it comes to characters :P
Looking ace dude, is the black dude from anything?
Keep going!
Kincade: Thanks man!
ae: Haha, call my agent. Black dude's sort of my attempt at Ultimate's Nick Fury, not so much a likeness to Sammy J, just freestyling on a comic character.
Mladen: Thanks
Alright, done with this guy for now - got to do some tther things:
Thanks.
Gav
This is sick! Quick question, what sort of modeling clay is that?
For the clay, I honestly can't remember the brand since it was a one off class, but it was a firm clay for sure and , at this stage,, has olive oil rubber over it for shiny / smoothing
