Hi & is there any software that helps me with the driving ? (Question)

driving simulation or something , today is the first time i ever drive a car , it was a lesson

.

here we have 40 lessons in order to complete .

There is software, but alot of it is probably relative to your country, i.e. you lot that drive on the right (wrong

) side of the road.

Here in the UK have whats called "Hazard perception" test and thats all the software is good for in my opinion.

Interesting to note that you say you have 40 lessons, does that mean you get an automatic pass after those 40 lessons?

nonono, if you're going to learn how to drive you need to do it in a real car. software is ok for road signs, or identifying things you shouldn't do -like driving on sidewalks- but there is no publicly available software anywhere that will acurately simulate how to shoulder-check or to hit a pot-hole and not loose control.

playing games in general can help your hand/eye coordination which helps when driving. But its obviously not something you can rely on to learn how to drive properly. Once you learn the rules of the road and try to apply them while actually driving, the next thing you need to "learn" mostly is the controls so if you want to properly emulate it then you'd also need to buy pedals/steering wheel with indicators/gearbox and some clever clutch system that works and feels like its in a real car.

And then you'll need a monitor sort of behind you to remind you to check over shoulder and maybe another 3 mini monitors to act as mirrors (cant use the main monitor for mirrors because looking at those doesnt involve moving your head, and you can see them in the corner of your eye which you cant do in a real car

) and a motion-detecting headset to verify that you did indeed turn your head at the right time.

Of course even if you had all this stuff the software itself needs to be exceptionally realistic ;o
It will need to add stuff that appears in the other monitors to force you to react properly.

hmm I must be bored to be bothered typing all this. Should of just said "no".
