hey everyone.
i was wondering if you guys know a fix (or really fast workaround) for the nasty distortion happening when rotating uvs while using a non-square texture.
i also just found out that maya 2009 has a preserve uv functionality (finally!) but is there a way to make it work in 2008 too?
cheers,
henning

any actual help?
That is in the polygon->creat UVs menu->UV set editor. select new, establish a new set. Then, you can change between UV set1 and UV set 2. If you like you can establish as many as possible UV set.
Or we can down load a maya scripts to perserv UV,these scripts neally all are free,we should thanks the authors.
As to 2009, it's UV function just as 2008, the only difference is that 2009 had a smooth UV function. Nothing else in UV section. So as 2010 .
plodding work, we should not waste our life and vigor on this. So I give up maya's UV layout system, I use other tools.
how about a old fashioned Unfold after you've rotated the uv's? If you turn rescale on and the iterations down to 0 i guess it would rescale the UV's trying to keep the shape?
