I struggled to find much help on the internet
Could you guys give me some advice on the topology of the waist/crotch/buttocks and armpit/shoulder?
I'm looking to make my character rather articulate, so i need straddles, splits and stretching in all directions.
This creates the problem of maintaining a solid shape under such stress.
What is the best optimization of topology for animation/games?
I guess i'm looking for examples of wires or tuts?
Many thanks in advance, this is driving me crazy, i dont want to spend a week on a model and a rig to find i completely messed up on topology when i start to animate.

It only really explains knees or elbows. bending linearly in one direction.
I need a good example of topology for complete oscillation of a joint, if you know what i mean?

what happened to your old website man? I was a big fan of your hand-painted 3d stuff.
Make sure to mine HippyDrome for all that is there. The grescale on the wireframe gives you weighting information which most people overlook and just oggle the pretty bending.
