Yo polycounters, what shit be you listening that isnt music?
I tend to listen to podcasts while i work, it keeps me on track and gives something a little more stimulating than music when working on boring jobs.
I tend to listen to science podcasts but anything is free game, and i want to try and find some new interesting ones, so go ahead and post your favorite ones.
The ones i listen to:
ludus novus:
A pretty interesting podcast by an indy game developer about game design. Pretty interesting to listen to, but sadly he doesnt update often.
http://ludusnovus.net/?feed=podcastThis week in science:
Pretty laidback podcast that is actually an american weekly science radio show. It keeps up to date with some pretty snazzy recent stuff. Not really that technical but hey, its a good listen.

Astronomy cast:
Just found this one last week, again its a super smart woman and less smart man presenting it, but they go into some really cool technical stuff about the universe. Pretty cool to listen to and i think i have a better understanding of relativity now.

Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier (of Clerks/Mallrats/Jay and Silent Bob/etc fame)'s almost-weekly podcast. Generally just them shooting the shit for an hour or so, sometimes various guests and friends turn up. It's pretty funny.

modcast:
Brad Peebler, CEO of Luxology (creators of modo 3D app), does a weekly podcast about happenings in the company, app and community. Probably only of interest to modo users.

The Rock, Paper, Shotgun Electronic Wireless Show
Longstanding UK PC news and reviews site with some of the best game journalists. Usually an hour or so long with general chatter about the state of gaming and other game news and opinions. Updated fairly sporadically.

I listen to :
Idle Thumbs - Good gaming pod cast, funny and interesting guys.
http://www.idlethumbs.net/
Rock Papers Shotgun - More gaming news, usually good.
http://rps.libsyn.com/
Penny Arcade - They don't post so often, but if you like their comic, their podcasts are usually pretty funny.

I have to stop them though when I need to really concentrate on something. Like figuring out a rendering issue.
Too and from work, I listen to books on tape like Oxy but they're expensive (library huh good idea) and the occasional pod cast from http://animationpodcast.com/
Not updated all that often but some great archives, mostly interviews with famous animators.
Oh yea forgot to mention this:

I haven't kept up on this but it was pretty entertaining. He says he's broadcasting from a pirate signal in the future. Calls himself a librarian and chronicles his journeys in the wastes. Pretty cool stuff.
makes me remember the good old days...

Comedian Adam Carolla talks with actors, friends, and other comedians. He also loves to rant about pretty much anything.

SModcast has already been mentioned, but it's pretty good. Kevin Smith talks with his Producer Scott Mosier. I think the funniest ones are when he talks with his old friends from New Jersey.

Basically its two guys who talk about current events briefly, then they each read a 'sick and wrong' crime story ripped from the headlines, along with a reader submission. Listeners vote and the winner gets a case of beer (or a care package if its the listener). They also have interesting interviews sometimes.
we should start a "this week in polycount" podcast. All we need is skype or team speak and we're set!
Not a podcast, but I listen to Adam Carolla's old loveline radio show with Dr. Drew. The callers are ridiculous.

I think awhile back their was talk about a polycount podcast... nothing came out of it though.
The RebelFM podcast, by some of the guys laid off from 1up awhile back. Love this podcast. Fat Penis
Personally, I do video podcasts, since my mp3 player is really a media player (with video). I frequent most of the Revision3 lineup.
I also use Miro, which has a lot of good suggestions on it.

Q-"If a ninja falls down in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
A-"First of all ninjas don't make sounds, and if he did make a sound it would be the last one you ever heard!"
Smodcast is the only one ive listened to so far in here. Pretty good !
Insomniac Podcast (reccomended by someone here in polycount). It's nice when they're not patting themselves on the back and talking about how awesome the PS3 is.
Australian Gamer Show, checked it because Yahtzee recorded a couple of them and I keep coming back.
PC Gamer Podcast is just what the name implies.
And started Smodcast last week, finished it today. It's nice.
Smodcast has been mentioned a couple times now and is definitely my favorite.

Rebel FM which has also been mentioned is pretty good. Tends to be a bit long, which sometimes is really needed. They talk about games. Good for someone like me who doesn't have time or money to play everything that comes out.

The Geekbox. A weird little podcast about a bunch of stuff, comics, tv, movies, whatever. Pretty fun.
http://www.geekbox.net/
I feel compelled to mention a music podcast too. Electronic Explorations. This is a great show that covers a lot of genres with guest mixes every week. I always look forward to it.

Fat Penis Sicsided... fat penis
Love Rebel FM, Anthony and Tyler's random ass discussions are the best!
I watch a bunch of youtubers pretty regularly
TheAmazingAthiest - THIS DUDE IS FUCKING WEIRD AND HYSTERICAL
SxEPhil - even though i think straight edge is teh lamesauce
and Sometimes a guy named FakeSagan
but as for podcast type - death.fm is pwnage
Not so much focused on the horseplay they did on GFW Radio, but if you miss the personalities, it sounds like Out of the Game is for you. Shawn Elliot, Jeff Green, Luke Smith, Robert Ashley, and N'Gai Croal. Not too frequent, but they don't just stick to game discussion.
My other favorite podcast is RadioLab. They take an idea and present various stories and research findings on the subject, sometimes on more traditional scientific subjects like space and mortality, sometimes nontraditional subjects such as morality, love, and laughter.
Another gaming podcast not mentioned is http://alifewellwasted.com/ "A Life Well Wasted is an internet radio show about videogames and the people who love them. Each episode focuses on a specific subject and employs interviews, music, writing, and fast-paced editing to create something unique in the podcasting space." worth checking out, great production values.
Theres also http://www.bitmob.com/index.php/podcast ex-EGM guys talking about interesting topics relating to videogames.

Gamespys Game Spy Debriefing
http://www.gamespy.com/index/debriefings.html
Its pretty much just gaming banter I have already read on things like Kotaku or what not but I still enjoy them for the banter non the less.
Insomniacs is also a good one.
http://www.kfi640.com/pages/podcasting/
It's a weekly podcast that covers things going wrong in the world, mostly from a military standpoint. He has a good sense of humor about it all.
Wow that's a lot of my old fav's on 1 podcast, thx Spacey!
Interesting stories like:
"The Ghost of Bobby Dunbar. In 1912 a four year-old boy named Bobby Dunbar went missing in a swamp in Louisiana. Eight months later, he was found in the hands of a wandering handyman in Mississippi. In 2004, his granddaughter discovered a secret beneath the legend of her grandfather's kidnapping, a secret whose revelation would divide her own family, bring redemption to another, and become the answer to a third family's century-old prayer. "
