Aw gawd... Must refuse the urge.. to post terrible insults. The world's just gonig straight to hell and Ayn Rand predicted all this some 50 years ago or some shit. Troo story.
jesus just take the most generic music and blend it all together for commercial success....or shittyness either or. most songs on the radio i cant even recognize the group any more like TheoryOfaNickelCreed. super lame.
Is this what they do in Florida? Is that the hard core version of the Jonas Brothers? The only reason he's pouring out the Old E is cuz he's like: "Holy shit? People actually drink this!? I need a Zima to wash this down!!"
We're all gonna die in 2012 so what does all this matter? :P (However, I rather die to good music and the stuff posted above doesn't fall into that category).
With the 80's the fashion may have been horrendous but at least we got some good music from it. Now we get the shit fashion and no good music, or maybe i'm looking in the wrong places...
Lowest common denominator.
Just ask Sectaurs, we saw the people this music will appeal to at a fireworks show on 4th of July.
Having teeth was optional.

there's TONS of great music today, however none of it is in the mainstream eyes. at least back then there was Zeppelin and Floyd. nowadays most big hits are people with zero talent musically.

I'm sure there are lots of good ones but I've been enjoying this 80s influenced music lately: http://www.myspace.com/m83
I think all the good music (I guess more "underground" stuff) isn't all that "sellable" because it seems to me its too advanced for some of the population out there. Seems like labels now a days must spoon feed these dumbass's "new" copycat bands constantly or the world will end or something.
If you wall want to listen to some good music, look no furthur then Canada's indie / rock scene, I am biased, but our shit is good!
lets put this in perspective. i mean, if you think of the 80s and all you remember is good music, you're nuts. sorry.. yeah there was some good stuff, and there was some DIRE music.. same with every decade innit
I was listening to Bach, stopped to listen the first song Adam posted, and then went back to the Baroque master. It's an odd experience to contrast them.
Music has been going downhill since they started dumbing it down in the 1750's.

We engage the rose tinted glasses/shit filters. 80s music was shite in the 80s (apart from Adam Ant), but in hindsight we take the 10% that stands the test of time and declare the 80s to have had great music.

I got to majorly disagree. In my opinion the 80's had some of the best music of any decade! 1 hit wonder after wonder that now serve as the inspiration for so many (lame) covers unfortunately...but still goes to show how much that decade has inspired and influenced musicians of today
... i'm going to return to listening to pink floyd now...
Yeah, I had turned off what I was listening to to be able to check that out...going back to that now.
Don't know really what to say to that. I can usually see the appeal in most forms of music but having a hard time with that. Oh well...back to my own musical world.

The 80s at least had good songwriters writing pop music.
I'm with Sectaurs, I've listened to quite a bit of BrokeNCYDE just due to how hilariously bad they are. They have even worse songs than Freaxxx.
On the topic of 80's music, I listen to quite a bit of it. You can't definitively say everything from the 80's is good or bad, there are exceptions and in-betweens.
From Adam's first post, the first video just reminds me of most rap/pop (ie; it sucks).
The second video, while the song/vocals are complete ASS, actually has decent music.

first one is standard awful.
I'll take your word for it that the 2nd is crap...
Fool me twice shame on me.
Or maybe screamo really does suck, but I'd rather to listen to that than unadulterated shit like grind metal or hardstyle techno.
It went from repulsive to hilariously awesome. I used to listen to their album on loop when I was scheduling. Sooooo bad.
Crunkcore baby!
nothings happened to music

Anyway, here's some obligatory excellent music.

This song, which is the best, has apparently been removed from his myspace.
