I have been working on a low poly model of a character from an old PC engine game called Wings of Thunder and I was wondering if I might be able to get some good crits on what I've got so far.

I'm kind of having trouble getting the shininess to look proper.
He is about 560 tris.
Anyways any and all crits would be greatly appreciated : D

whole thing is just too painterly, need to get in with a bit of dodge and burn, some sharp highlights.

Good start though, and agreed with ruz.
If you want very sharp metal highlights what i tend to do is get a soft brush on a new layer and paint very big how i want it to work, then i erase it back. Actually this might explain better .
