blenderhead is right... we really should just let the powerhungry assholes have their way with us, and go on our way. That would be the smart thing to do.

No your right, he should have kept his pride and stood up to the cop and have had that to comfort him in his widower years...

hahahahha ahhhhh made my day. Bored public will always win over. Bet he thinks twice next time before he acts like a tool. reguardless of being in the right or wrong. Never know who recording!

How immature are you? People aren't threatening the douchebag cop, they are threatening his family. And knowing the situation, its probably a town full of gang-bangers that are making the threats. I fail to see the amusing side.

karma is the ammusing side. Honestly think this is the first time hes pulled up his britches and steped the line?

Step back, take a breath and laugh. Life is funny, and karma is the punch line.

edit: im very very immature. thx for the E attack.

Ok,the cops a cock, thats undeniable and he should have let the ambulance go when he was told or made aware a patient was on board...at least as someone said, he should have escorted it to the hospital and once the patient was safe, done his arrests/telling off/reprimands etc.

But I noticed this in the video and this quote confirms it:-

"Since the ambulance was not running its lights or siren."

From this theres no way the cop can know there is a patient on board.

Secondly, the fact they were not running on sirens or lights means there as liable as everyone else.
There has been a spate of cases here in the UK where Police/ambulances have run people over or crashed and killed people when they have been on a call but failed to put there sirens/lights on, making the driver of that emergency vehicle as responsible as any other driver would be for killing someone.... and yes even cops have gone down for manslaughter for this reason.

Why did the Ambulance fail to have its lights on?

anyone else think the black guy in the red shirt should have just let the cop talk to the damn driver?

no. how do you keep escaping my ignore list?

the video is confusing. the cop initially drives up behind the ambulance, as the ambulance begins to pull over, the cop continues driving away.

the ambulance didn't have sirens on, but neither did the cop when the ambulance was later pulled over.

articles state the EMT stepped out of the ambulance to assist in what he thought was another emergency situation, the video proves that.

the cop continues to yell at the driver for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. the ambulance IS AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE!

cops are suppose to protect civilians from harm. how is having your hands around the throat of an EMT, while he's working, protecting the public?

haha...The fact that he was about to choke slam the EMT blew my mind.

That officer looks like a loose cannon though. And all of that because the Ambulance didnt yield? I could see if they stopped and sold crack to little kids out the back of the truck, but not failure to yield. If anything, the officer could have asked the EMT's if he could assist and before they left...just say "Hey...it's not a big deal but just make sure your driver yields for us in the future."

yeah, he was over the top. the dude jumpin out the back was obviously confronting him. I probably would have done the same in high strung circumstances, but it's obviously a no win move. cop was a total dick from the get though.

I'm surprised at how many people on these boards completely go off on any and all authority figures whenever something like this gets posted. oh wait... no I'm not since this always happens. One (apparently) bad cop does something and every joins N.W.A.

and it turns out the guy has reason to pull over the ambulance. things escalate, the internet hunts the man down, posts his personal info. whoops more info is revealed but that doesn't matter. who cares what his record was before this incident.

such vigilantes! and here I am stuck on jury duty until the end of March... :poly121:

Why not? When a guy gets pulled over for a DUI, does the cop want to talk to him or his stoned mates in the back? If a cop has a problem with vehicle (whether it be a valid issue or not) the person in charge of that vehicle is the driver. Try not to be a fucking moron for no reason please.

I like Maurice. He's the kind of guy - calm, cool, in control - that police units should aspire to be. Maybe only hire ex-EMT and field doctors into the position of policeman, making the position much more prestigious: not only are you capable of handling a medical situation, you now have a gun! And a badge, police car, whatever, all that stuff.

Cops in the US aren't that bad. I mean, it's not like they'd threaten young kids for no reason...

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgWrV8TcUc[/ame]

Ok, ok, but it's not like they'd crack jokes about the deceased in a way that reeks of racism and disrespect for the personal nature of the job...

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kIH5EQeCSc[/ame]

...well they certainly wouldn't beat a handcuffed woman off the record...

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KM1ukwBGv4[/ame]

...ok, they wouldn't repeat the same mistakes...

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FedlpshJb4c[/ame]

...well the good news is they only carry one gun usually.

2 of my step-brothers are cops...and they are exactly like this prick. Its not just the job. THEY TRAIN THEM TO ACT THIS WAY. It is a course they have to take on intimidation and "confidence". Apparently our government has decided this is how they want our "protectors" to behave.

I have had a couple of decent cops in my day, even when I was at fault and had done stupid shit, they were actually reasonably pleasant. Sadly the vast majority are like the a-hole in the referenced video.

At least they aren't as well armed as the cops here in Mexico...Machine guns on every corner and the occasional tank / military checkpoint on the highway.

    its cops everywhere
    abuse of power and all

though, as always, theres just a few rotten ones and just as many, if not more, good ones but its only the bad ones that make it into the news with noise

yea the vancouver street cops are awesome, they have helped me out a couple times, 1 being too drunk in public and they were chill and called me a cab, and the second when our car was locked in a pay parking underground that closes early, they helped us get in. super chill dudes, nothing but respect.

those power tripping mother fuckers like that ass with the ambulance and the skateboard cop (hhaah look what he drives) are disgraces, its shitty that they always seem to be suspended with pay, any other job you would be canned instantly for acting like such a cockaus.

yeah I suppose hating on cops is a lot like racism. you cant make generalizations about them, but when one comes along and creates an impact, it creates a profile for the rest of them.
