So yeah. Here i am.

I´m not as good as i want to be. Especially not when i try to do a proper highpoly. Either way. Here´s my first update. Need to do some proper cuts and stay away from 90 degree angles. Finally got that through my thick skull.


Also as you can see i haven´t made the corners sharper yet so. Yeah. That´s next. Fun stuff though.
Having issues with the crisp line going through the "screw"-hole.

post a large image of the wires, or obj, i'll show you what to do to get a hard edge there without screw up the circle

Cheers a bunch mate. Mesh is a "bit" messy so I need to do some cleaning up there aswell to get the most out of it i reckon. heh.

Ok i just quickly whipped this up, its not the same porportions but should get the point accross. This is a quick and a little bit dirty way of doing it, i think it works just fine.

You could also put 1 more control loop around the circle there, to get less of that smoothness where the hard edge hits the circle, but i think it looks ok like this.

Another small point. Its best to double up your control edges on both sides of your hard edges, on the front and inside the circle in this case. That way you can easily edge slide either edge to edjust the size of the rounded edge. If you have 2 edges both on the inner side there, you may run into some problems and artifacts when adjusting things like that. This is more of a general thing, and can be applied to pretty much anything that needs to have a hard edge.

Pic says all. I can still see that parts of the "flow" is wrong and what i need to fix but i think the results work soooo next time. *cough* yeah i know

Working slow. I got sick so my energy and skill level is down to zero. I don´t know how people can work when they are sick... but you have my respect.

Anyway. I saw that the screws at the bottom was supposed to be star-holes just now so i gotta fix that. Front piece is what im working on right now. Doing it all in floaters.
