Hello, Polycount! New member here representing a Final Games Project at the University of Southern California. Seeking 2D and 3D artists to join and finish the game for the 2014-2015 school year.
As per the PM in my inbox, I am making my mandatory "hello" post on this thread.
Hi, everyone. I'm new (obviously) to Polycount. I'm a student, earning a degree in game software development. I haven't yet found my calling, though the more and more I do 3D modeling and level design, the less I think I want to do programming. My programming ability is arguably better than my art skill, but I really enjoy 3D modeling. Unfortunately, my 2D art skill is quite abysmal.
I haven't made many 3D models which I completed, mostly because I'm still practicing and a lot of what I make is just practice. I only started 3D modeling earlier this year when I took a 3D character design class for my degree.
Currently, I'm teaching myself how to use Unity since I was recently admitted into the Wii U Unity developer program.
Someday, I'd like to have my own small studio making games. For now, though, I have to focus mainly on school. It's unfortunate that school gets in the way of developing my abilities so much, but it is what it is. I do what I can when I can.
Hi Polycount, have been semi-working with 3D art for years now but might have lost my passion, so I joined you awesome folks here for finding that fire again.
My name is Maxime and I am a student in 3D animation in Quebec city. I will graduate this years and I would love to be an active part of this community.
Hello. I am an aspiring game writer in the Columbus, Ohio area and I am looking forward to interacting with game artists on here to learn more about the game art aspect of game development!
Greetings.
My name is Victor and I'm from Guatemala.
I am currently studying 3D animation and I hope one day to create models for a rpg game.
Have a nice day. : D

I'm a game creator Hobbyist, so I like to dabble in all areas of the game creation process.
Though my 2D & 3D Art skills need a lot of practice, I'm looking for C&C and answers to questions.
