Hi! I'm a 3D modelling graduate from a Montreal-based Game Dev school, and these forums are such a great source of inspiration and sometimes much needed kick in the artistic ego-balls that's its mandatory to join.
Sup guys!
I've actually been interested in registering here in polycount for a while.
Went to see several threads here and there in the past.
Right now, I've registered here because I've made up my mind to increase my knowledge of 3D and 2D art.
Just like the message I've received from the Admin, my first post will be in this thread and I too would like to get along and learn from the polycount community.
I hope I would be able to gain tons of knowledge here from now on from everybody here!
Since this is the first post forum for about everyone it seems it's a bit spammy here. So it surely wouldn't help much to tell about myself. Anyone actually reading this topic?
I'm the TD at Colorbleed Animation Studios, that's it.
Greetings. Looking at developing some games and no doubt they will need some artwork. Here to find inspiration and to hopefully - one day - share my own.
Greetings! Just graduated from my game dev program and, having already looked around this place for help on occasion during my work, am actually making an account now. This should be fun!
Hi all
My name is Roger, and I develop games in my free time and write. Currently Im using Torque3D engine and planning to fork an open source project that was abandoned by the original developers. I hope I can find some help here.
Hello all, my name is David. I'm currently going to school for a degree in Game Art Specialization at Austin Community College Northridge. We are learning everything possible for the creation of games. Creating high-poly, and low-poly, projecting normal maps, creating and editing diffuse, secular, and normal maps in Photoshop, and much more including animation, and implementing them into game engines such as Unity 3D and UDK.
I decided to make an account, to showcase some of my work and get feedback/constructive criticism. Thank you, and I look forward to posting much more
Hey guys, I'm a Game Art and Design major in Arizona. I just found out about this site two days ago when an instructor told me that this site is a great place for game artist. I am looking forward to seeing artwork from other talented artist and eager to get some feedback on my work.
Hello everyone, I'm a guy who never grew out of cartoons and always enjoyed playing video games and sitting on my computer. I dream of being paid to do what I enjoy doing, and make the things I like to watch and play myself. I only hope I have what it takes.
Hello, Just signed up to ask a few questions I am having about certain software. If you could enable my account so I can ask the community, that would be great. Thank you.
Me too! Long time vfx guy looking to saunter into the to interactive world, blown away by the recent tech on display in the new UE4 engine releases and the accessibility that the new Blueprint workflow might grant a code-challenged artist like myself. Cheers!
I just started getting into the game art side of things in life after my stint in the military and I'm really looking forward to seeing all the amazing and creative things that people put on this board.
I managed to see some of the wonderful concepts and creations from a friend of mine who has been frequenting the site for a little while and now I hope to one day become an active part of this vibrant and quickly expanding community!
Hey! I am trying to build my first game and need help building all of the models. I don't have any money, I don't have a soul to sell, nor do I have anything else to sell, BUT I am willing to split all of the game sales. So I'll let you guess what and where my first serious post for these forums is going to be! lol
