Hello Polycount and to all of the members, I'm 3d artist/vfx artist/many hats artist, working on a videogame in Guatemala. I always find myself coming back to this forum for many reasons, being cool people the first one and the great source of knowledge the second hehe. Looking forward to have always a great time reading and participating here!
After lurking behind the shadows looking at all the amazing work people have posted i decided to make the plunge and get involved to. Currently studying at Hertfordshire University studying Games Art.
Hello, I used to browse Polycount back in 2001 I think as a kid, I was a big wet spot for Q3 and UT and Polycount was the spot to get myself some sweet models and to post my own stuff (I think, it's all very foggy).
Now I've found back, and are looking forward to using the vast resources available to me here, and help where I can. I'm mostly working on architecture related stuff, although I dabble in 3d modeling for games and I do some personal concept art. Anyway, heyo.
I go by Fan C 3D. originally I started doing Fanart, my first name is Corey and I love 3D. (FanC3D). Over the years, I've worked and worked and worked hard to improve my 3D skills ... I think I've improved to the point where two things became very VERY important:
1) I don't take comments personal anymore.
2) I haven't given up.
Trust me, over the years, I've heard some really 'dick' comments from people who hide on the internet. But it's cool. I've excelled personally in my art and it makes me happy so I welcome any comments good bad or indifferent. I'm trying to reach a level like some of the masters and I'll get there. While I don't necessarily impress the die-hard fans who been at this for centuries, the regular folks love what I do and the general market is a paying one. LOL.
I hope, in the end, anything I post simply entertains and gets you thinking. In my heart, I am an entertainer and your 'applause' and 'critical comments' mean a lot to me so I can grow from all angles.
I'm a 23-year old Game graphic student at The Game Assembly in Sweden, and the school recommends you to join this forum to develop further, and maybe get some contacts for when it's time for internships.
Mostly interested in 2D and animation, but I want to learn it all!
