I've created this account so I can start a thread for the Mixamo character contest thing. Looking forward to showing the community what I have in store!
My name is Ettienne, I'm from South Africa and is a completely self-taught artist. Been working with the 3D Universe for the past 14 years and mainly use Blender 3D. I'm 23 years old and came to polycount to learn more of the 3D world.

Hello, I've always admired 3d modelling and always thought "I wish I could do that" Now I'm very slowly learning the basics and enjoying it quite a bit.
I'm just about finishing my uni course in 3D Animation, and though I've been focussing on character animation, I've been feeling the itch to further develop my modelling and texturing skills. I've heard nothing but great things about the threads on this site and have found some truly outstanding art here. Looking forward to the chance to contribute to this awesome community
Hello! I've been reading the forums for a while and trying to learn the basics but now its time for me to finally jump in the deep end and get involved with noob challenge 8
Hello all, doing my obligatory post.
While not strictly a game artist, I have worked in games and cinematics (as well as film, video, rides, crayons, etc..

Hey Everyone,
Gabriel Here. I go to school for game design. However Im looking for the next edge. I join this forum to try and hone some skills and gather inspiration from everyone. I hope that I will be able to connect and share Ideas with some of you. I am filled with questions and I know this will be the right place to grow.
Just wanted to say hi. Broken Elevator Games is a start up indie game studio based in Portland, Oregon. Our goal is to make fun and awesome games that look like pieces of art.
Short description of myself:
I'm from germany, mid-twenties, started doodling around with 2d/3d Art when I was ~15 and kept this as a hobby since then. Have no big "goals" in modelling/2D-art, but I love to have the ability to create pictures and useful models the way -I- want and by myself.
Hello. Glad to be on the site. My friend recommended this as a way to get myself motivated in art. I have always done art, but I need to hear some advice from real professionals or I'll never develop.
Hello Polycount and everybody! I am a concept artist from Moscow, Russia, specialising in character and environment concepts. Here to join all the cool kids

I've already written once in this thread, but something must have gone wrong, as I still cannot make a new post.
Anyway, I'm a librarian who's also a bit of a nerd, and have therefore started to dabble in 3D images, using Blender.
