Got this (along with about ten of my gaming buddies) for the free play weekend on Steam, we all wound up buying it. Good fun. I've not played L4D, but they're saying it's better. I believe it. Haven't really found any flaws with the game/mod yet, unless you want to say the dated engine is a flaw (isn't). Beautiful maps, fun monsters, perk level system... good times!
seems to be a free play weekend, says I have it for 1.8 days left.
I just fired it up but there's no servers listed, there seems to be plenty of people with the same problem
nice idea haven't played it for a few months now after my hard drive broke Still love it and its really hard to compare to L4D considering that this is more wave based
Would be up to playing with you guys tomorrow for sure though
Love this game, been playing it virtually non-stop since the 'level up' update came out and re inspired me to play again.
The delay they are talking about in the first post was dated 5/14/09....
Been playing all weekend, pretty fun stuff. Kinda rough around the edges but the sounds from headshots make up for it. I have been trouble connecting to servers also, but after changing my Internet Connection in the settings to dynamic, it seems to have fixed it. No idea why though.

It's pretty fun. It's not polished enough for me to want to spend $15 on it, though. That $15 could be spent on an extra month of another game. That's what happens on a low budget.
The level up system is pretty neat and it's fun to play with friends, but I believe the co-op factor is really the only reason to play it for me. I played solo and I got bored after about 10 minutes.
Haiasi. Not to bash but i only played a few rounds of co-op aswell then stopped. There are better alternatives out there. Cough, l4d. cough. Maybe its good now after a few patches
The game gives me a headache for some reason. It's just really agro. Haven't played it since the day I bought it, so it got about 20 mins of play time from me.
I played it for quite a while last night... maybe a solid 2 hours or so. It was fun for a bit but it was too repetitive. The main reason I quit is because my friend stopped playing so I lost all interest.
Got this game gifted to me like 6 months ago. Played 5 rounds, felt like I was having a seizure from the lighting and overall gfx, uninstalled it and never bothered with it again.
Felt like an unpolished, unfinished mod Welding wooden doors closed ftw!
headshots are clearly more enjoyable in killingfloor.
bought.
This.
Also bought it, as well as 3 friends during the demo days. That damn squish sound is so great. Only thing I wish was somewhat like L4D is the lighting. Its so damn dark in areas and basically impossible to see if your flashlight goes dead.
If anyone played it before the Level Up Content Patch I'd really suggest giving it another go, It feels like quite a new game. The new maps help the game feel much less like a mod, there much more polished than the original 5 that were released.
It is important if you want to have a fun game that you're with friends or at least with good players, if you find the game play repetitive than I'd suggest simply putting up the difficulty a little bit, you'll quickly have a good challenge.
Shotgun has a flashlight too. Throwable flares would be fun, though.
The KF editor (basically Unreal Ed 3.0) was bugged out for a bit, maybe because of the free play weekend, but is patched now. Seems like a lovely game to create maps and mods for, if you like it.
doesnt seem to be many people liking this game, however im one of those who do, but it could be so much more. Would be fun with side quests and more loot, weapons that you cannot get in the store etc. save the farmers son over there or something. blasting zombies heads of coop never gets old :P

PS: I like that they arent rushing you like in l4d. It´s a scarier sort of game that way.
Steam Names same as PolyCount name if anyone wants to frag it up.

Dual Hand Cannons + Hunting Shotgun = Win.
