Still not sure that is the final concept but i think i will work over this one more
arms and legs just marked and not final, i am not sure that is the best proportions yet, and more sharp edges and cleaver like blades must be added:)
just thinking to make the "mouth" somethink like tunneling machine's digging part rotating cylinder with many sharp teeth for chewing easy demons and organics:)
I like it man! It's an original design for the machine category. The stealth jet influence on the top works well for me in particular, i would try to keep that design consistent throughout the piece.
I think his claw needs to be unified with the design more, give it the same curve as the body, and the same angular shapes. The rounded joints makes it look more organic than the rest of the design, which makes it a bit less unified.
Keep it up! cant wait to see what you do with the model.
agree mate, i love things to "work" too:) or at least to look like they eventualy could work;) thanks for the link but i want to explore the forms more before making steps to make it functional
Having dilema.. uhh trilema here for the corpus thingie, and was thinking is that head rly looking like kitchen robot to u guys 0o my friend told me that today in the offcie
Doesn't look like a kitchen robot to me, but I must say I like the idea. :P
Only question is how this would be put into practice. I doubt the machines like juice, but perhaps it mixes some fluid that's deadly to norms and pour it out in the water or something?
Good luck with the legs! I would suggest to study spider legs. Might find something interesting.
Nice work! I like the shapes you have going on. I like the style of robot you chose to do as well. It reminds me of the bugs in starship troopers, but in a good way!
after some tests was not rly happy how the "wing" thingies on top of the robot look :poly122: and i have decided to make new concept for the upper part and the legs:poly121:
i think this is the final shape i will work on :poly142:
i really digg your mech so far. The sense of scale is great, my only issue is it looks so similar to a blizzard hydralisk. If you colored it brown i'd literally have a hard time making the 2 out from each other.
I do dig the insectiod vibe, but you're treading a fine line between mech and insect right now. I'm thinking the "face" area where your lights make it seem more insectoid could be removed as well as adding some kind of gun to the top of it, to really sell that it's a robot. By adding the gun to just one side you can also break up the symetrical nature of it which may be making it appear to "natural".

Like the one to the lower left.

I like where this is going. Keep it up!
little and messy update - arms and legs start to get shape:)
I suggest grabbing some refs for the joints, it makes a big difference, esp when it comes to trying to model so that they work.
