    we care sir, everyone is crunching these last 2 weeks so comments will probably drop off a bit.

    the head and neck area is looking pretty nice at the moment, love the mouth. i think the details on the hands arms and back area could stand to be sharpened up a bit, little bit of blob action going on right now, i realy dig all the eyes its a cool touch.

    I would love to see some spines or something on the bottom back part or something to bring out the back.

    Thanks guys! Yeah Woogity, that makes sense... I think I'm just getting jealous. I see threads with like one image posted and 3 pages of comments to it. I can't really tell if people like my entry or not when they don't say anything :\

    I'm glad you like it Joblo, I was worried I might be overdetailing it. Yunda, thanks for the suggestion with the spines, I'll keep it in mind. My current plan is to have the back transparent with veins through it and a less transparent polycount logo on it :D it should look super cool.

    I went ahead and did some more to this, I need to go through one more phase of cleanup and tightening up areas, but this is the closest to final version I have so far.
    If anyone has any critique, please do! I'd love to hear what's up.

    This is coming along great! keep pushing yourself on this model it seems to be working for you. I think this looks the best out of your fellow co-workers, dont tell them that though :)

    1 WEEK EXTENSION, I AM SO THRILLED!!!!!!

    I was working on retopologizing in zbrush today and I realized that I don't think I can make this any more detailed :( It'll wreck my pc. So here's hoping I can make up for it in the textureing phase. AND I HAVE A WEEK TO DO IT. Oh man I was so worried I was going to have to rush my texture. I have a friend coming in from Arizona and everything this weekend.

    on the plus side- it seems like this guy is getting some positive reactions from people :) Thank you for that so much!


    So, color.... I was thinking a fleshy pearlescent tone with darker brown edges for the more armor like parts of his body. I don't know, I'm not sure the best way to achieve that would be. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips? Or perhaps a better idea?


    I posted this on the first post and figured it was too simular to post here but eh- what the heck. You can see some things are cleaner.

    hey man realy like the head you went with it has lots of personality. i think the bottoms of the feet could stand to be flattened up a little bit right now they are a bit round. and maybe a tad more form could be given to the bug part on his back. the arms are looking much better.

    no worries about the one image 3 pages thing. the folks that have been around forever and are extremely good often get super hyped threads and everyone on the forum will comment. keep working at it and someday that could be u.

    I think it might could use some color variation on the front, and I have to say that the PC symbol seems kind of tacked on.

    I really love the face and the modeling in general.

    I agree- it does seem tacked on :\ I really should've put more thought into it. I had this plan of making it semi transparent aside from the logo itself but yeah, I forgot you can see through transparent things... it just didn't seem right to not have the logo and I figured spiders kinda look like their symbols are tacked on too :)

    cool guy! the little hands are creepy, they kind of look like the shove whatever gets in their way into the mouth. Face design is nice.
