Yea I wouldn't worry about it at all. Like Kamui pointed out you can always do them after the fact. Also something tells me this isn't really going to be a key judging component but more of a "if you want to show case your concept(s), do it here".
I think its silly they have such high requirements for concepts in a 3D contest, especially one that also has a 2D concept contest running along side it. If I wanted to spend all my time drawing concepts I would have joined the 2D contest.

I am simply too mentally ill. I joined hoping to win just a tiiiny cash prize or something I could sell to get some money for medicine,training,stuff Tho I'm not expecting anything... (I have other projects running to get me some extra cash)
Anyway, I chose to make the concept art before the actual picture, and It actually did help me improve my design. So that's neat:)
I a fan of all variants- especially the fatty fish one just because it looks the most gross. speaking of gross the balls with the spikes at the end remind me of boobs, and they make my uncomfortable,.. but in a really good way :P
I really like this pose even though It is still under construction..

hey Zcorpion, i think it'd be ok. I would make the image bigger to include the rest of the tail as well, but I think the rules just don't want something like a headshot or a portrait.
