It's going to be a Darkness/demon prince. Imagine a big nasty demon that can teleport from shadow to shadow and cleave you from every corner!! To make it even worse, his element is darkness ;D
He seems like quite a traditional demon. While there's nothing wrong with that, I think the beauty of a demonic character is that you can really throw caution to the wind and create a bizarre, distorted creature.
Even if you decide to stick with the more "conservative" approach, it'd be worth going through and thumbnailing a bunch of different variants for his overall physique, features and gear. He's feeling a little too familiar at this point. Still you're off to a good start and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Looks ok now I guess. There are still things I'm gonna change as in giving him more muscles, details on the armor, tentacles, horns etc, but I think I'll do that in 3D.
Started modelling as I'm a little slow. I decided to make the model a little basic first, then playing with the porportions and more. As for now, I'd want some advice about the mouth and eyes. Should they be able to move? (morphing and such?) Do we have to rig them? I could save some traingles if not :P
I've tried fixing the horns a bit to make them fit a little more. Also I've just done the basic modelling with mirror. I'll now add in the non-mirror stuff and add some pieces maybe for the arm, leg and head.
With my speed I doubt I can make it to the end though Have to try harder :P

I was thinking to take 5. simply because it tells me it's a demon prince. I'm going to take that and bring in the Oni flavor. It might be nice !
