Runic Games is hiring - Concept Artist

Concept Artist (Full Time)

Runic Games is looking for a highly skilled, full-time Concept Artist to work on our project in development. The ideal candidate has experience in generating designs from written, verbal, and roughly drawn “cocktail napkin” ideas and iterating from thumbs to final pieces. A foundation of knowledge regarding form, color, and light is essential. The ideal candidate can create model sheets and turnarounds for characters that convey personality, proper anatomy (even in highly exaggerated designs), and can be easily translated into 3D models. Environmental and Prop concepts should convey mood, display clear construction (be it organic or architectural), express a consistent style, and be easily translated into 3D models. Additional skills such as illustration, texture painting, or creating 3D mockups, etc. are highly valued. Expertise with Photoshop is a must. Knowledge of 3D packages such as 3DS Max is an added bonus, but not essential. The ideal candidate works well in a collaborative environment with a small and dedicated team passionate about making great games.
Runic Games offers a fun, creative, and rewarding environment with excellent benefits and compensation. We’re in the heart of Downtown Seattle with numerous living, entertainment, and social options a short distance away.
