Apparently my new job use Max (I'm a Maya guy) and I'm running into some weight map mirror issues. Sorry I can't post any pictures, due to workplace rules. So I'll try to describe it as best as I could. Apparently I'm rigging a character and it's model in multiple poly meshes. Head, shirt, jacket, gloves.... so on are all seperate meshes. And when I rig the gloves, the mirroring function on weight would not work correctly. The mirror plane would start the middle of one hand, and even with an offset which should put the plane in between the 2 gloves, I would still stuck with one hand with half green and half blue and with the other hand completely green. (green represent one side of the weight map and blue represent the opposite side.) I searched around and can't find an answer to this. Also, I try to bone rig the face, but have very odd weight mirror result as well. I'm a modeler, new to rigging. Thanks for your help!
