This is for TF2 so I'm trying to skin it semi-cartoonishly. The specs on this are horrible, it's like 12k triangles and a single 2048 map but I wanted not to worry about map sizes and polycounts for once so yeah :P
This is looking cool, though yeah not sure why you rendered it upside down...Don't forget the fret inlays, and the three lightest gauge strings shouldn't be wound, they're just individual lengths of nickel/steel.
Are you going for an intentionally matte look? If not even a well worn guitar would still have a lot of car paint-esq shine that would add a lot to the look of the body. You could wear it down around the main points of contact though (like where the forearm and wrist rest. The wood on the neck seems really light/blond too, I think the majority of epiphones use rosewood fretboards.
Since it looks like you're going for a road-worn look it would be cool to add some chips on some of the corners too. Long before I managed to wear the clear coat off the contact points of my guitar body I managed to give it a fair amount of chips around the outside edge and a few on the headstock.
looks cool man, how'd you go about those strings (modelling wise)?
would say you could add some wear and what not to give it a bit more character but depends what you're going for i guess. Looks nice so far, anyways.
gonna throw some more detail onto the texture map (like text and all that)?
edit: sandbag beat me to it, and did a much better job of it :P
Looks good, though like Neox, I don't see this being completely TF2. Mainly the wood texture looks to detailed compared to the style of TF2 wood, but the red looks nice and would fit.
That wood was a placeholder (Although now I realize I shouldn't've put it there because I'm getting bored of telling everybody it was less than temporary )
also how does this work in TF2? Is this going to be a weapon or character accessory or something like that? Or just an exorcise to match the style?
The new wood saturation level + inlays is looking better. You could do some really cool stuff with the paint, metal (especially the chromed bridge and tuning pegs and such), and mother of pearl inlay materials, I look forward to seeing how it all turns out
may be for the pyro who does this guitar taunt with his axe
her* axe. When I was making a payload map, I noticed the purse with a flower on it in the pyro's locker slot in one of the meshes. I guess pyro could still be a him, but I still call pyro a her.

A LOT of the edges have an extra loop near them so it'd smooth well :P
That's because I originally didn't mean this to be a game model, was just doing it for modelling practice but I decided to stick it in TF2 anyways and I was too lazy to optimize

looks good but why choose epiphone and not a straight gibson sg?
Because I own one? :P

Always good to see a nicely modeled guitar!

Also, aren't some guitar cords a golden color (at least for the lower notes.)

What he said. I wanna know where that 12K went!
