I know I'm wicked late entering this thing.
I have to shuttle files back and forth between my Mom's AOL computer in the house and my shitty laptop in the RV where I've been staying, which has no internet. So...I've been working without refs.
My idea is Cillian Murphey from 28 Days Later. Just a regular guy who goes apeshit and kills zombies with his bare hands.
I dunno if Im going to try to do him from the film or just remain "inspired by" as I dont have Bodypaint on the laptop and it may be hard to do a likeness without it. Im gonna get some refs today and make a go of it though I think.
Updates to come. Ive already started UV'ing him.

I know I'm late and unfinished, but I wanted to show something. Yay Bodypaint! Not quite a likeness, but I don't know if I'm doing to be able to do that in 800tris + 128 texture.
What are the black lines on the underside of his arms?
scoob, that's looking real nice. I think defining the anatomy a little more on his back with some more medium detail / flat planes would help alot. Also, the back of his shoulder/armpitty area connects to the arm a bit weird.
I think the pants look really cool, too. especially how you did the undapants peeking out
I think this is pretty much final unless somebody spots something glaring. Lemme know!
Next up rigging & posing!
:::Unfiltered:::::::Filtered:::::
Which do you prefer?
Just for kicks, some quick & dirty facial anims.
[edit: Added the filtered/unfiltered]
The back is probably not upto par with the front imo, probably becuase you didnt give it as much time and/or its flipped vertically so it might be a pain in the ass to get to work.
me go "wha?!?how?!" heh Excellent stuff and gotta say personally I like the unfiltered
purely because it hits home that this is low res stuff looking impossibly awesome.
somehow i´d like the unfiltered more.. oldschool rocks

This looks way cool, scoob
Yes, the eyes are just 1 pixel tall in the texture and stretched across 1 quad on the model. Leviathan called it, I just scale that quad to 0 height and back over the course of 3ish frames via morph targets for the blinks. All the others are just me fiddling with various target mixtures & values over time.
Here are all the targets I've made up so far and the face texture @ 1:1 for ref. I haven't rigged the eyes for look-at targets yet, and not sure if it'll work with how I've got it now. We'll see!
UPDATE: changed to new bloodless texture & added a couple new targets.

I still dont get how you did the mouth. I see teeth in one of your posts (post#17) but nothing that white on your texture map?
Since the lips are modeled as one piece and you didn't texture anything between the lips.
Cheers for the info!
