Hello,
Crits and Comments are welcome in this thread
This is a good place to dump some of the Zbrush/Mudbox quick-sculpt sketches I've been doing over the last couple of months...
These were two quick sculpts I did in Zbrush3, about 2 hours each, from the low poly base mesh. Pictured inset.....

I started to experiment with other tools in Zbrush for these, apart from the 'standard' and 'bulge' brushes.
Started using 'pinch' and 'flatten'
2 hours each for sculpts from the low poly...
These two started from a 5 sided cube, took about 2 hours each in Mudbox/Zbrush.
And put with a few props I had....
The general hits with a special feel, the hard edges and blocky feel make him so much colder and bitter looking.
Very nice.
Japhir: Ha! Ha! Thanks, I never knew who King Zora was until you mentioned him (I've never owned a Nintendo ) Does look a bit like him though!
peppi: Thanks man, it's nice to have place to dump all the non-finished work that you have.:)
This is another speed sculpt that I recently did. About 3 and a half hours from the low poly. Featured inset.....
Loosely based on a Steve West creature sculpture.
funny you didn't know Zora . i thought you based your sculpt off of him. i guess cool designs are universal .
post more.
nice to see some characters fer once instead of puffy chested ego accidents
Another one..
Finished in Photoshop...
new background
A rare 2D doodle from me...
great stuff in here though, i love your style and expressions
I love the fun you put into your sculpts man
New old stuff, doodling in Painter...
keep it up
A quick practice head I did a while back.....
From the low-poly; took around 2 and a half hours for main sculpt and 30 mins for details...
The process stages...
Cheers
Mostly use the 'Standard' brush for the main sculpting; the 'Claytubes' brush to add mass and the 'Pinch' and 'Flatten' brushes to sharpen detail.
I try and keep it as simple as possible!
hope you get time for more speed sculpts man
Trying out some realworld things!
