the train was re-done, and jack did it actually, and we will be making changes to the way we approach the scene its not going to look like our concept but a combination of the chosen concept and the concept jack worked on
Whoa, that's a lot of black. The lighting is too harsh I'd say. You also have the same texture in way too many places where it doesn't belong. Think about the object, and what materials it is made of, and try to texture in a way that make sense with what said object would encounter in that env. Where would the rust be and why? And that building...no building looks like that man, you need to look at your concept and try to recreate the materials you see. The rusty metal texture you have on everything needs to go, the scale of the texture on the building is all wrong. And I don't know what is happening with the background, but scrap that and find a better sky texture that will cover the whole background.

yo cody thanks for the critique, what was forgotten to be put with that last screen post was thats just a block out we are still fleshing positions of objects and currently texturing everything out, properly hehe. your advice is greatly appreciated and consider ass kicked because we are fixing everything you mentioned. thanks again and good luck to you
no prob, man. I really like the train, with a better texturing job it could be pretty badass. I think the wood under the tracks is a bit thick, find some ref for the tracks, you will see they are generally more like 2x4's. I think the building could use some more detail modeled in like what you see in the concept, I think the wood is too thick there as well. Keep going!
I like where this is going. Good stuff. My only comment might be that the composition is a bit squarish. Maybe widening the shot making it more widescreen format like the original concept might work well.
