the idea came from thinking about the story for the original concept. I like to make up little story when i draw. and the theme to me on the top one was "journey". the bottom one was "invasion" by the tree . mine is a weird remix from the two, is journey to the source of the evil. dunno how i connect them but i did. it was late and tired

That latest concept is definately the strongest yet, I'd agree about the resulting scene needing more dramatic lighting but this works great as an image establishing what the scene is.

Those things jutting out are like rock/trees? I think they 'look' cool, but should some of them be splintered, broken? I am wondering how the sweet-ass cannon balls made it to the wall without taking out some of the structures in the foreground too?
