UE3 and other UE3 made titles.

I now own UT3 -and- Mass Effect.

In theory, if I wanted to (though I might mess something up), could I open a mass effect level in UE3? What if I had Bioshock?

Have others been known to do this? Some of Mass Effect's environments are gorgeous, and I want to see how they are made.

hmm not that I know of, if possible I'd also love to check out some of bioshocks levels in unreal

Doubtful, chances are each of those studios has made specific builds of UE3 with new features and such tailored to their games. Its not a simple matter of being able to read a common format.

yea EQ is correct. Each game has a unique build of the editor and even more so an internal engine build number that will prevent you from opening most levels and packages.

well that's a bit ghey. does that mean i'll have a different UE for each game installed on my pc? o_O

Yeah, again its not a matter of simply opening up a common file dude. Its a completely different engine in some ways, they have the full source so they've each added their own tools, their own optimizations etc. Its not that they just dont what you to open other games levels in their editor(which they dont) its also that for example the UT3 editor isnt going to understand the AI code/scripting for bioshock and just crash if you tried to force it.
