i hated it from the time i saw the trailers.... 'mummy' in china? DONT CALL IT 'THE MUMMY' damit!
they ruined the name of the franchise

also, alex was terrible. nothing at all like what id expect 'rick's' son to be like
and wheres rachel weise [sp?].... replaced by some actor who doesnt act.

but i totally hated how 'easy' it was for jet li's character to 'revive completely'. it took imhotep forever, and that was FUN. this guy walked in, took a bath, became king, got pwned, the end

The first one was okay and would have been a good 'classic' had they not gone with a second.. and third.

And I really dislike this guy's directing style. It never pulls me in and makes me believe in the universe of the film. Also the comedy of the films feel so forced. Oh and dont get me started on the fail that was Hellsing.. First time I wanted to walk out of a theater..

The SAME trailer forced down my throat at every movie I've been to for the past half a year made me loathe it without even seeing it. Moments like "oh I was too cheap to get seatbelts!" "haha ha-why am I laughing?" didn't have me laughing the first time, and had me wanting to headbutt the grill of a speeding SUV every time after that.

I'll catch it in 5 years when its on some random cable channel airs it a dozen times in a night.

It's always the remaining "10%" that sparks up sarcastic interest in virulent shitty movies...

Saw it this evening with my family, wasn't bad for the first 2/3's of the flick, but the last bit kind of fell apart in bits. The stand in for his wife really tried to hard the whole way through to fill the role, and the love interest for the son was kind of rushed, but decently done nonetheless. I think a sore part of the movie was that the brother, who was always kind of a anti-"enough of this lovey-dovey historical bs, let's get on with it!" to frazer and his gal, didn't get nearly enough good screen time, and really the fact that the gal wasn't the same didn't make his appearances as good as they could have been.

Despite all that bad, fun flick, came out smilin'.
