What do you think? I started this model five years ago and never had the time or skills to get it finished until now. I'm really happy with it, but I know it could be improved in places. Any suggestions? Does anyone know a good way to get a realistic exhaust trail in max?

as for vapor trail, i have no idea. If its just a still render, try cheating and just photo shop one onto a plane? or a few planes.
@BrodyB: Here are the wireframes as requested and the diffuse map as well.
@stimpack: You hit the nail on the head there. I've been reworking loads of my old work I never got round to finishing this summer. The new workflow is enjoyable and fast compared to my old way of having to do things, pre pelt mapping and zbrush.
But seriously, you have some issues there with the intakes. It looks as though you have modeled wing leading edge extensions that cover over the top of the intakes, and actually overhang a little bit over the intakes. In actual fact, the intakes are angled forward and sit flush. Also, if you look at pictures of F22's, you will see that the nose has a very distinct, strong line running down the side seperating the top and bottom. This is for the radar cross-section, and your model seems to round the nose into a cone, which it is not really. Otherwise, looking okay!
