Maya Hardware Lighting issue

Anyone have an idea about whats going on here. Im in hardware view and I threw a spot light in my scene. Random peices of geometry seem to be getting the light source...but not all surfaces. The main peices that arent are the wall of the right building and the ground. IT seems to happen to large pieces of geomtry thats the only corrilation I can get. Every peice of geometry has the same type of maps on it so I threw that out. I read through the Maya help docs and didnt get anything solid out of that either.

I havent altered the lights settings, theres a normal, color, and spec map on all geomtry. I cant think of anything else that you might need to know.

Thanks in advance for any help.

bugo: I didnt actually think of that..I just fix it..Ill try it along with what I did to fix it.

Im not sure if I found the solution or just a work around. Apparently High quality render doesnt like the large pieces of geometry as one piece or it was just a hardware viewing error... I ended up extracting the smallest triangle from the surface and it fixed it. Im not sure how or why but some how extracting a face caused the lights to work on the geometry.
