hard edge subd modeling videos?

I was thinking of picking up the CRUX dvd by 3D-Palace but that's like $60 usabux! anyone have recommendations on DVDs and/or downloads?

I'd say cris' videos are decent, if you are totally new to it, it'll be worth it. If you already know anything about it, it will be LONG WINDED, thuogh I guess you might pick up a thing or two. Their free videos are okay enough really to pick up those things.

Why don't you look at their free tutorials first, yes even the ones for xsi. The steps they show seem to apply to max and xsi so nothing too specific. I have done subd in both Max and XSI and as long as you understand how the the subd algorithm works you can apply them to both apps. The free ones go pretty in depth so if you know enough already they might be enough.

I also look at them as suggestions more than a how to type deal...
