Looks great, but the texture space for the lowest level wall seems a big small and doesn't seem like it would hold up if a character were to be standing next to it; but looks goof from here, so hard to say.
Probably would have used the tiling brick on the lower half and just made decals out of the grunge and spray paint.
Also just curious what does your light map look like or did you ditch it? Seemed to work on the grey shaded version, hehe.
You're absolutely right. The bricks on the first floor do not hold as much up close...if I had known how to do decals in max or to get them right in unreal i would have done that. I will defiantly do that for my next building tho
and there's no additional light map...just some baked in shadows from a sky light
and this will probably be my last post...just threw this into unreal and added a lil post processing. Really gotta get my website up and running now...
There are 2 sections of this building I think could do with tweaking, the blatant repetition of the brick texture where the dark patches next to the corner repeat per floor (same goes for the dark patches on the other side of the building). The other is the seam that appears on the corner of the roof trim.
Having said that, the end result is absolutely bitchin man.
Excellent work! Im thinking about putting my model in the Unreal 3 engine. Can the model have holes and still be exported in? My building is separated into various pieces. Should those pieces be sealed off?

thanks man...yeah that seam was bugging me lots but I guess I got a lil lazy...I should fix that b4 sticking in my port

Sure it can look like swiss cheese if you want. Just as long as you dont show any holes that you dont intend anyone to see. My facade is just 2 sides of a building. If you were to rotate around you can see that it is in fact just 2 sides of a building.
Your model does not have to be water/air tight to export

create a post process volume and tweak the settings.
oop Jesse beat me....right clicky on add volume in the menu and F4 for settings
edit: Looks good in unreal too. Are you going to use the lightmap aswell? It probably would add awesome shadows and such.
Looks awesome none the less. I'll probably do one soon too not for the comp of course but just cuz of all the awesomeness I'm seeing.
Looking sharp though.
uh. . . nice job though. . .
Alex
That means he didn't vote for you.
