Yayy! bounch did a great job in our interviews and I know he'll make an excellent contribution to the team... plus he put up with a good number of us after the interview as we went bar hopping and got really shitty... and he doesn't even drink! Major props goes to that.
hey thanks guys - it's official now lol, I was waiting before I said anything, had to clear some stuff up first. it's my first full time industry job and I'm totally stoked. I had a lot of fun with Justin and the gang interview night and I know I'll fit in well there.
adam: the interview itself was about 4 hours with a couple groups of people, pretty relaxed. since there was only 24 people working there at the time I got to meet 75% of the team
July 2nd will be my first day - woot!
thanks again guys - polycount was a HUGGGGEEEEEEEE help and is an awesome community.
I think I could speak for him. we have a really laid back process for interviews where we just have groups of 2 from various specialties in art, design, and production and we just ask random questions... some pertaining to the actual job but others just to figure out what type of person they are. we go out to dinner or lunch then usually go out for drinks if the person wants to (or just go without him/her anyways if they don't).
at the end we will have ventured across many bars and will have a decision process of if the person wants to go back in the direction of home with a few others or go with the other group to a strip club or any other uncomfortable interview location.
bounch got to watch me argue (and contributed as well) with these religious freaks carrying crosses outside a bar for a good 30 mins but made the right choice in just leaving me behind and going inside.
disclaimer: if you are interviewed at frozen codebase this is not what always happens... brent just caught an interesting night.
