Alright i found this sweet concept out on some random internets, if anyone has any idea who the artist is please let me know, cause i'de like to see more of his work and give him some credit as well. I've already started modeling and i'll post when the high-res is done, i'm going to be reworking some things, mainly to focus some details and make sure certain things look good in FPV, this is a pretty boxy design so i'll have to take some liberties to make it look good in FPV.

am looking forward to see what you'll come up with ... makes me feel like joining in the fun
you should do this:)
maekz moar goodness, and stop making me want to work on mine !
This turned out great so far. That last gun you did was really nice too.
Some things I'm left wondering though looking at this gun;
Where is the ejection port for empty casings? Is that supposed to be it between the cocking lever and the front rail cover? Seems like a bad spot for one as they'd most likely nail your forearm since it's so low and aimed about where the pit of your elbow would be with the supporting arm. That'd suck to get pelted and burned.
The magazine that is mounted up front...is that for the shells for the grenade launcher? It is pretty thick looking and only seems like it could feed the launcher from that location. If that's the case where is the magazine for the actual main gun? Is it in the back (the stock with an underside mount) If not it could be modified for a top horizontal mount magazine like a p90.
Things I see missing that could be added and you probably are since you seem to dig on guns too...A rate of fire selection switch or maybe on this gun some kind of digital selector. You could remove the rail cover on the front left side (the side facing left when in 1st person) and add a laser module or flashlight, or are those housed in the block that seems to be mounted below the launcher barrel? That block would be an awkward thing to hold with your support hand...maybe a fore grip of some kind, even a collapsible one could be interesting and if the flashlight or laser module was in the block just move it up and to the side rail instead. Having one or both mounted there would add even more visual interest to that side, where as the front bottom block is kinda just there and not doing anything for it. Maybe add a rubber mag pull to the bottom of the magazine as well and some kind of tape designation to the magazine could add some surface texture difference as well.
Just some suggestions. I'm kind of a detail whore for guns. It looks great.
I did all of that aside from move the ejection port back, because at that point you're taking detail AWAY from where it will be seen in fpv, and putting effort into modeling cool stuff you wont really see, both of those are bad things.
heres a little teaser, test bake, still need to finish uvs, model a couple more small things, etc etc etc
So it's true then!? I KNEW IT.
Great piece so far holmes.
LIES!

I think the spent casings are actually coming out as normal thru and ejection mechanic but then traveling down an opening within from the back down to the front, since they are coming out at a kinda slower velocity than normal.
omg, tk i added u on aim but now you arent responding to me and i feel ronery and arr arone.
first ingame shot!
almost seems like you baked in a shading error from the highpoly, just below and to the left of the circular sight bit, i know it curves out a bit but the triangular black shading was visible in the first highpoly shot you showed, i thought it was just some dodgy smoothing that you were going to fix
shame i was out of the country for a week, i wanted my gun to be at this point by now too
:polytwitch: What's the triangle count on that thing?
